In a postmodern vision of Dubai, strange things are happening.
We follow a woman wearing a burqa surrounded by pornographic imagery; however, instead of her face, we see explicit images.
Haram is a very short, experimental movie that reads more like a conceptual art installation. You can't summarize Haram, you just have to experience it.

Pater/Son is a Paris-based filmmaker.
In 2010, he created 2 heures 56 productions with 2 associates.
He was a student in philosophy, and he kept vivid memories from this background and he really loves to spread some wise words in his work.
He speaks fluently French and English. He has spent over a decade studying and working within Documentaries, Commercials, and Fiction, developing his visual style and sensibility.
His wish now is to make more and more documentaries. He really loves to portrait people with both realism and fantasy.

Director's notes
"Haram" is a reflection on our modern society and it's behavior toward sexuality. My vision initially manifested as a nightmare of a women wearing a burqa in a world saturated with pornographic imagery. It all began with a quote by William Gibson in "Neuromancer" : "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel." Ultimately, I wanted to depict our society's new trinity: religion, technology, and sex.
