Biography
María Belén Tagliabue was born in the city of Tres Arroyos and graduated as Image and Sound Designer (UBA) and Director of Photography (SICA). When she finishes her studies she focuses on working in independent productions related to animation. The techniques she uses are stop motion, traditional 2D, hyperlapse and pixelation. She developed as a freelancer in different production companies such as Malkina, Pampa films and Cinema 7 from the direction of photography and camera for short films, advertising and TV programs. Since 2017 she is in charge of the animation department of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation where she directs the Hyperlapses National Museums project that covers buildings of historical heritage throughout the country. She is a co-founder with Agostina Ravazzola of the animation producer INDIAS FILMS.

Filmography
María Belén directed two animated short films, Ámbar (2014) and Transmuta (2018). She worked in El Puente (2012) as director of photography and animator, in Pixied (2017) as director of photography, producer and post-producer and in Quma y las Bestias (2019) as stop motion animator. She is part of RAMA (Red Argentina Mujeres de la Animación) with whom she made two collective short films En boca de todas (2018) and Veo Veo (2019).
