An imaginary neighbourhood ion Jakarta and the passing of time, day after day and generation after generation. Around these two coordinates, Replacements portrays the passage of the change from 1960 to the present. A story about roots, time and urban, environmental, political and cultural  transformations of the Indonesian capital, told through the transition of an old traditional village into a congested megalopolis.
