Scenario:
The alarm goes off, you get up, you make coffee, you lazily leaf through the newspaper and you go to the window to look outside. Perhaps you are still sleeping: there is a tent in your garden! And there is someone inside it! You don’t know what to do: do you go outside to find out what’s going on? Do you call the police? After all, you are a good person, you know how to put yourself in someone else’s shoes…
A modern fairy tale set in Los Angeles, The Tent explores the social dynamics of activism and the complex relationship between those who have a home and those who do not, through the story of a woman who, to her great surprise and with great uncertainty, finds herself having to deal with the arrival of a homeless person in her garden. A satire which, with humour and sensitivity, invites us to reflect on our privilege.
