Biography
Simon Leclercq, born in Picardy, northern France. Far from the cities, I soon spent my summers cultivating my imagination with my brother in stories developed in stop motion, through drawing or with the family camcorder.
It wasn't long before my passion for storytelling and creating worlds became my life's goal. I moved to Paris to specialize in live action and graduated from ESRA in 2019. Today, I'm an advertising content director and series editor.
My brother and I have complementary universes and desires, and we've never stopped collaborating together. Since childhood, we've been creating offbeat universes with a sense of humor, observing the absurdity of modern society, where petty conveniences often mask what's essential.

Biography
Thibault Leclercq, born in a small rural village in Picardy in northern France. Far from the cities, I soon spent my summers cultivating my imagination with my brother in stories developed in stop motion, through drawing or with the family camcorder.
It wasn't long before my passion for directing characters became my life's goal. I took the path of animation and graduated from Les Gobelins in 2018, becoming today the character designer for the Laika animation studio in Portland.

Director's notes
The short film seeks to explore how we, as individuals, can often be blinded or distracted by our everyday concerns, to the point of ignoring immediate dangers.
Through the use of a fire, a clear and present threat, juxtaposed with scenes from everyday life that range from the absurd to the deeply human, we examine how urgency is often ironically relegated to the background. Beyond the black humor, there's a reflection on contemporary priorities, on how technology, personal ambitions and even our hobbies can obscure our perception of reality. The film is therefore an invitation to re-evaluate what we value, to recognize the real dangers, and to ask ourselves: what really deserves our attention?
