Biography
Sara Fabris, born in 1998 in Trieste (Italy), began her academic studies in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino (Italy) in 2016 and completed her studies in Valencia (Spain) with a thesis on emergent video in Italian experimental cinema of the 60s-70s. He cultivated his passion for the moving image by completing a master's degree in directing and post-production in Valencia and began working as an independent filmmaker. The themes of study and reflection in his works are violence against women, the concept of privacy and consent, analysis of the impact of postmodern society, memory and remembrance as tools for writing a counterhistory, and mental health. In 2023 she began a Master's degree in Audiovisual Heritage and Film Restoration at the University of Udine, working in the meantime as a videomaker between Italy and Spain. She is currently working on her first independent film and writing her master's thesis on the ethics of documentary filmmaking in women's autobiographical representation.
