„Out There“ explores the strange mindspace of an anonymous character by following them on their journey through deserted landscapes. After waking up in a desolate desert, they begin walking towards a fata morgana and let the audience follow along, as their world shifts around them and their only way out is moving forward. Travelling through increasingly surreal, everchanging landscapes and trying to make sense of the environments they are in, we are left wondering what the purpose of this journey really is and what destination awaits us at the end.

Biography
The team formed in university as part of 2024 winter semester's film project. During the production of their first animated short film "Out There", they experimented successfully with horizontal organization, making every decision as a collective. Looking back, the group would consider their collaboration as very rewarding, both personally and professionally.

Director's notes
The goal was to create a short that incorporates 3D animation into 2D Backgrounds. The story intentionally leaves room for interpretation, for the audience to project their own experiences into the perception of the film.
