Biography
Erving Tan is an aspiring Cinematographer/Director currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Media Arts at Nanyang Technological University, Art, Design, and Media. Since graduating from high school, Erving has immersed himself in various aspects of film production, from commercials to feature films.
In 2023, Erving embarked on a self-improvement journey to Taipei, Taiwan, to enhance his filmmaking knowledge. His 2019 thesis short film, "Long Pants," delves into the deeply personal story of his relationship with his late father and has garnered recognition in numerous global short film festivals.
With a mastery of professional-grade tools and storytelling, Erving actively collaborates with Canon Singapore and serves as a young ambassador, representing them at events such as Broadcast Asia 2019. Having lensed multiple short film projects, he has been honored to be a panel speaker, sharing his experiences in social sessions.
Continuously striving to sharpen his instincts and storytelling craft, Erving is dedicated to telling compelling stories that resonate with audiences.
