Biography
Founder and President of Yola Filmo. Born in Santo Domingo in 1976, Dominican Republic. She studied a bachelor's degree in advertising, film direction, and completed a master's degree in animation. She has lived in Puerto Rico, Barcelona, and Argentina. She worked for nearly 20 years in advertising, contributing her talent to major brands such as Coca-Cola, Procter and Gamble, McDonald's, Toyota, General Motors, Cervecera de Puerto Rico, Claro, Nestlé, Marlboro, and many more. She has been recognized worldwide at the most important advertising festivals such as Cannes, New York Film Festival, Fiap, Cúspide, Seven Plus, and more. She is the first Dominican to win a Cannes for advertising and a Cannes for film in the Super8 category. Currently, she is dedicated to her true passion, cinema. She has more than 10 short films, several of which have been awarded internationally. She is currently working on her first feature film, "El viaje de Olivia," a movie made in Spain with Colombian actors.

My short film highlights the importance of protecting the planet. It depicts how human mistreatment and neglect of nature have turned the lives of animals into a nightmare.
