The award winning director Anne Kjersti Bjorn (b. 1954) is known for her creative and controversial films. She works in a highly original and personal style. Most known for the film Gifted Beauties, about female surrealist painters.
Bjorn's most important films are Declared non sami (1997) Gifted Beauties (2001), Grannymum (2005), Mery go round for peace(2008). Yellow card to FIFA(2014) The Olympic Dream (2016), When Woman came to earth (2022), Spirit and Flesh (2023)Gifted Beauties won awards at a number of Norwegian and international festivals.
