Footage from Odesa Film Studio, the first in the Russian Empire, shaped childhoods in the Soviet era. Now, the studio, like other Ukrainian cultural monuments, faces destruction by the Russian army. Through collective remembrance, the video essay reclaims lost memories, inviting viewers to find their own recollections in the shared footage.

Director's notes
Drawing upon the Soviet film footage, I, as the filmmaker, aim to reclaim memories of a lost childhood shared by two belligerent countries. In doing so, I invite viewers to embark on their own personal journey of remembrance, seeking connections within the footage.
